Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. You will be working with a leading energy efficiency company with over 20 years of industry experience, specializing in lighting and energy-saving projects for schools and municipal buildings. This is a 1099 commission-based position with no base salary , offering upfront commissions, bonus opportunities, and uncapped earning potential. Through the PG &E On-Bill Financing (OBF) program, clients can complete projects with no upfront cost , making this one of the easiest and most effective programs to sell in California. No technical experience is required we provide full support including audits, proposals, engineering, and project execution. We also provide training on how to communicate and present effectively to school and public sector decision-makers.

Duties

• Visit schools, municipalities, and commercial facilities to present energy efficiency solutions
• Perform basic site walkthroughs and assist with audits
• Deliver professional presentations to decision-makers
• Build strong, long-term client relationships
• Conduct consultations to identify client needs and propose solutions
• Generate and manage your own leads
• Manage your own schedule as a 1099 independent contractor
• Local travel (driving) is required Expected hours: Minimum 10 hours per week

Requirements

• Proven sales experience (B2B or door-to-door preferred)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to confidently engage with facility managers, administrators, and decision-makers
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred (Not Required):
• Experience working with schools, municipalities, or public sector clients
• Familiarity with PG&E's On-Bill Financing (OBF) program
• Background in energy efficiency, lighting, or construction-related sales

Compensation

• Commission-only (1099)
• Uncapped commission structure
• Typical earnings per project: $10,000 $400,000+
