Nexus Wellness Clinic is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development who can immediately activate local relationships. We are expanding our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) footprint in the Phoenix regional areas. Applicants must have direct business development experience within behavioral healthcare setting. About the Role

: We are seeking a seasoned Behavioral Health Business Development leader with an active, existing network of referral sources. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is fully in-network with major commercial insurance providers, allowing you to offer an accessible, low-friction clinical solution to your contacts. Ideal Candidates will have: Regional Business Development leadership experience. Strong behavioral health referral network and established industry relationships. Experience in patient acquisition, referral generation, or provider outreach. Strong commercial mindset with ability to drive measurable growth. Background within behavioral health, addiction treatment, outpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, or adjacent care settings. Knowledge of behavioral health referral dynamics and market development. Experience managing outreach, liaison, or growth teams.

Key Responsibilities

: Driving behavioral health referral growth and patient acquisition across key territories. Building and maintaining relationships with referral sources, providers, and community partners Leading and developing market-based outreach / liaison teams Identifying new referral pathways and partnership opportunities Building territory growth plans across priority markets Working closely with leadership to improve patient acquisition performance Creating accountability, reporting, and performance metrics for referral generation activity Expanding the organization's presence across behavioral healthcare referral networks Acting as a player-coach, combining leadership with direct business development activity Ideal Candidates Possess: Business Development leadership experience Strong behavioral health referral network and established industry relationships Experience in patient acquisition, referral generation, or provider outreach Background within behavioral health, addiction treatment, outpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, eating disorder programs, or adjacent care settings Experience managing outreach, liaison, or growth teams. Strong commercial mindset with ability to drive measurable growth. Knowledge of behavioral health referral dynamics and market development

Education and Experience

: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Public Health, or a clinical field (Social Work, Psychology). 2-5 years of experience in healthcare business development, healthcare marketing, or clinical coordination. Industry knowledge, familiarity with behavioral health care models, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, and local regulations.
