Outside Sales Representative Eastern Washington, Idaho & Montana H&K; Sales & Marketing, LLC is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to assume responsibility for an established territory covering Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. This opportunity exists due to the upcoming retirement of a long-tenured salesperson who has successfully managed the territory for many years. The successful candidate will inherit an existing customer base, established manufacturer relationships, and significant growth opportunities across one of the fastest-growing regions in the electrical industry. We represent premier electrical and industrial manufacturers and work closely with distributors, electrical contractors, engineers, end users, OEMs, utilities, and industrial customers throughout Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana. Overview

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales and market share within Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana through specification development, contractor engagement, distributor support, manufacturer coordination, end-user relationships, and project tracking. This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, manufacturers, engineers, end users, utilities, and industrial customers
• Identify and influence project opportunities from specification through construction
• Conduct product presentations, training sessions, lunch-and-learns, and jobsite visits
• Collaborate with distributor sales teams to increase market share and drive specification activity
• Work closely with manufacturer partners to execute growth strategies
• Track and manage project opportunities through CRM tools
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings throughout the territory
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to management and manufacturer partners
• Meet or exceed territory sales objectives Ideal Candidate
• 5+ years of outside sales experience in the electrical, industrial, construction, utility, automation, power distribution, lighting, datacom, or related industries
• Existing relationships within the electrical distribution and contractor community are strongly preferred
• Self-motivated with strong territory management skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal team members and manufacturer partners
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana
• Proficiency with basic CRM and Microsoft Office What We Offer
