Inside Sales Representative - PVF Industrial Distributor Raritan Pipe Supply Gloucester City, NJ

Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships through product knowledge, problem-solving and responsiveness. You will partner with the Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) on a regular basis and function in a team environment reporting to the Director of Inside Sales & Customer Service.

• Actively engage customers to fully identify needs, process inquiries, interact with vendors, prepare quotations, and secure orders both independently and in partnership with the OSR.
• Manage all aspects of a project/order including submittal preparation, vendor coordination, scheduling, deliveries, emergencies and billing disputes.
• Utilize an ERP/operating system and CRM to manage all aspects of customer engagement. Experience with Epicor is preferred however not a requirement.
• Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and participate in training seminars across all product categories in an effort to deliver best in class technical support.
• Occasionally travel with OSR to better understand customer needs, assess future opportunities and strengthen the overall relationship.

Qualifications

and Skills

• Experience in pipe, valves, & fittings for industrial and waterworks applications is a MUST.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management and organization.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and related products.
• Previous inside sales rep experience is a MUST.
• Knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings and other waterworks related history is a MUST.
