Business Development Director - Multifamily & Builder Division Summary Posting CIETO Cabinetry Company is seeking a Business Development Director to lead growth within our Multifamily & Builder Division. This role will focus on developing relationships with developers, builders, general contractors, architects, ownership groups, pre-construction teams, and project managers; getting CIETO approved on vendor lists; tracking RFP and bid opportunities; and building a qualified pipeline of cabinetry projects across Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, multifamily development, cabinetry, millwork, building materials, architectural product sales, or a closely related field, with the ability to open doors, manage strategic accounts, and convert project opportunities into closed revenue.
Compensation
includes a $70,000-$90,000 base salary, 3% commission on closed revenue, annual performance bonus, medical insurance, and estimated OTE of $160,000-$220,000+ based on closed revenue performance. About CIETO Cabinetry Company CIETO Cabinetry Company provides cabinetry solutions for multifamily developers, builders, general contractors, architects, and project teams. The company is expanding its presence across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets and is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Director to build relationships, create qualified opportunities, and help convert those opportunities into closed revenue.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with multifamily developers, builders, general contractors, architects, ownership groups, pre-construction teams, and project managers. This person will build CIETO's market presence, secure vendor-list approvals, track RFPs and bid opportunities, and manage a qualified project pipeline from early relationship development through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Building Develop and maintain relationships with developers, builders, general contractors, architects, ownership groups, construction managers, project managers, senior project managers, purchasing contacts, and pre-construction teams. Identify new business opportunities within multifamily, mixed-use, residential, and builder-driven projects across Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Virginia. Prospect, cold call, network, schedule meetings, and conduct in-person or virtual presentations with key decision-makers. Build long-term strategic account relationships capable of producing repeat project opportunities. Vendor Approval & Account Development Get CIETO approved on developer, builder, general contractor, and architect vendor lists. Guide prospects through vendor review, vendor qualification, and onboarding processes. Secure invitations to bid, RFP opportunities, project drawings, product presentation opportunities, and vendor-list approvals. Pipeline, RFP & Bid Opportunity Management Track RFPs, bid opportunities, upcoming construction projects, and active development pipelines. Identify projects where CIETO can provide cabinetry, kitchens, closets, vanities, or related millwork/cabinetry solutions. Coordinate internally so estimating and leadership teams receive drawings, elevations, finish schedules, scope details, target pricing feedback, and all relevant bid information. Maintain organized CRM or pipeline records covering prospects, contacts, project opportunities, bid status, follow-up dates, and next steps. Project Qualification & Sales Process A qualified pipeline opportunity should include, whenever possible: Project name and estimated quantity. Project location. Expected project start date or construction timeline. Key contacts, including owner, project manager, senior project manager, pre- construction manager, or purchasing contact. Bidding details, including kitchens, closets, vanities, drawings, elevations, and finish schedules. Proposal review or descope meeting with the project manager or senior project manager, either in person or virtual. Target pricing or price feedback from the client. Contract negotiation status and next steps. Pay: $80,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
