About the Role

This position is based at our Portland, ME location. The Retail Sales Associate is an integral part of our day-to-day operations and customer experience. You'll help customers find pieces they love while keeping the store looking its best. Because we're a small business, you'll wear many hats, from styling customers and processing sales to merchandising new arrivals and helping fulfill online orders. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who can confidently step into the role with prior retail sales experience and make an immediate impact. What you'll do :

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by welcoming, styling, and assisting shoppers.
• Build genuine relationships with customers and confidently recommend products.
• Operate our Shopify POS system, including purchases, returns, exchanges, and gift cards.
• Merchandise, restock, steam, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
• Assist with floor sets, new product launches, and seasonal merchandising updates.
• Fulfill online orders and prepare Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) orders.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and other day-to-day store operations. Who you are :
• You have 2+ years of retail sales experience (required), preferably in apparel, boutique, or specialty retail.
• You're confident in engaging customers, building relationships, and driving sales.
• You have a strong eye for merchandising and take pride in creating a beautiful, organized store.
• You're dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, growing small business where everyone pitches in.
• You bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuinely enjoy helping people Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
