Overview

The beautiful Groundswell Home + Garden is looking for a full-time experienced retail sales associate. We are seeking an experienced retail lead to model excellent customer service, take responsibility for daily opening/closing procedures, and assist management in maintaining standards of excellence in sales and shop environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our store. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. This position will be responsible for assisting the shop manager in daily responsibilities including:

• Ensuring all open/close procedures in store are followed and store is ready for customers
• Maintain neat cash wrap(s) and ensure all necessary supplies are available, work with management to coordinate supply restock orders
• Take ownership of store/backstock organization to ensure product is properly stored and easily accessible for sales and restock; work closely with management and Director of Merchandising to determine best methods and location
• Be a leader on the sales team setting an example in attitude, product knowledge, and providing excellent customer service
• Handle customer returns as needed at the direction of management
• learn retail offerings to better assist customers
• Maintain a clean and tidy store
• Assist the manager and ownership in other duties
• Must Be Available Weekends Retail and/or customer service experience required. Must have sales experience. Friendly and positive attitude a must.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with product demos and the ability to convey product benefits clearly to customers.
• Experience in cash handling is advantageous, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
