What You'll Do

As a Home Energy Solutions Consultant, you'll meet with homeowners and business owners to evaluate comfort concerns, rising utility costs, and overall building performance. You'll conduct comprehensive consultations that assess heating and cooling systems, insulation, airflow, energy consumption, and other factors that impact comfort and efficiency. Using a consultative approach, you'll educate customers on available solutions, explain the benefits of energy-efficient HVAC equipment, building performance improvements, and renewable energy options, and develop customized recommendations designed to reduce operating costs while improving indoor comfort. You'll prepare proposals, explain financing options and return on investment, maintain accurate customer records, and work closely with internal teams and strategic partners to ensure a seamless customer experience from consultation through project completion. Success in this role comes from building trust, understanding customer needs, and helping people make informed decisions that provide lasting value. What We're Looking For We're seeking experienced sales professionals with a proven background in HVAC sales or consultative in-home sales. Experience with home performance, energy audits, insulation, weatherization, building science, solar energy, or energy efficiency programs is highly preferred but not required. Candidates should possess exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a way customers can easily understand. Strong organizational skills, self- motivation, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities while delivering an outstanding customer experience are essential.
