Description: Full-Time Building Materials SALES ASSOCIATE Stanford Home Center, 2001 Golden Mile Highway, Holiday Park, PA 15239 Full-Time- Evenings and Weekends Description The experienced Building Materials Associate will sell merchandise, provide customer assistance, and perform other duties within the department to promote maximum sales, cultivate customer goodwill and encourage repeat business, as directed by management. We offer a generous employee discount and commission on our special order items.

Duties

:

• Customer Service
• Greet customers (or answer phone calls) promptly
• Handle all phone calls and customer requests promptly and efficiently
• Orders
• Delivery schedules
• Work closely with yard, dispatch, outside sales, and other staff to provide seamless, great service to customers
• Follow up with customers promptly
• Develop strong customer relationships
• Present a positive image for customers (courteous and friendly, well groomed, appropriate work apparel)
• Point of Sale system basics
• Process sales transactions accurately, in compliance with policies for pricing, discounts, payment and credit memo terms
• Quotes
• Inventory Management
• Special orders (building products, kitchen and bath, sash and door)
• Products (and how they are used) in inventory
• Hardware

Qualifications

:

• Knowledge of Construction/Building Industry
• Minimum of six months' experience in stocking, shipping, logistics, or related field
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication
• Written and oral comprehension skills
• Able to complete tasks with little to no direct supervision
• Able to work quickly and accurately in a complex, fast-moving environment
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Physically capable of routinely bending to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
