This role requires strong sales ability combined with emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity. The Family Service Counselor serves families by providing personalized cemetery arrangements at-need and helping families plan ahead through pre-need arrangements. This position is both relationship-driven and performance- oriented, with responsibility for generating revenue for the cemetery while serving as a primary point of contact for families. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to work every other weekend. Lead Generation & Business Development

• Maintain accountability for daily prospecting (12 hours per day minimum)
• Generate referrals from families served and community relationships
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the local community and civic organizations
• Conduct presentations to families and referral contacts with professionalism and confidence
• Track activity, pipeline, and follow-up consistently to ensure performance goals are met Family Care & Sales Consultations
• Respond to inquiries promptly with professionalism, respect, and sensitivity
• Conduct in-depth conversations to understand each family's needs and guide them toward appropriate solutions
• Present options clearly and confidently while maintaining empathy and trust
• Prepare thoroughly for all appointments and execute with attention to detail
• Maintain ongoing communication with families to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care
• Follow through on all requests and resolve concerns in a timely manner
• Build long-term, trust-based relationships that naturally lead to referrals
• Educate families on the value of pre-planning and protecting loved ones through advance arrangements WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven sales experience (required), ideally in consultative or relationship-based sales
• Strong ability to read people, adapt communication style, and navigate sensitive conversations
• High emotional intelligence and professional presence
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
• Experience managing a pipeline, CRM, or structured sales process preferred WHAT WE OFFER
• Hourly base pay plus commission (unlimited earning potential)
• First-year earnings typically range from $55,000$85,000
• Second-year earning potential $100,000+
