Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team and focus on selling pumps specifically within the marine industrial market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and a deep understanding of pump applications in marine settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets. Account, project, and sales reporting to owner / management.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine industrial sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Enhance existing client relationships with focus from transactional sales to building long-term, trust-based partnerships.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
• Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients regarding predominantly centrifugal pumps (also market diaphragm, gear, and submersible pumps). Submit technical equipment pricing from bid projects and customer RFQs. Working with manufacturer pump curves for proper pump sizing.
• Custom pump package / pump skid system design and builds (including drive motors); Produce complete drawing packages and diagrams.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure client needs are met effectively and in a timely manner.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside pump sales, preferably in the marine industrial sector.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of pumps and their applications in marine and offshore environments.
• Proficient knowledge with performance and hydrostatic testing (Pump Systems Nola, LLC has an on-site testing facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Productivity & Presentation Software, CRM & Collaboration Platforms, and Project Management & Data Tracking.
• Willingness to travel as needed. Majority of travel in Central Gulf South. Limited number of flights required annually. Why Join Us?
