Job Summary

PEORIA NISSAN is seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) to join our team. MUST, MUST MUST have Automotive Sales Management experience to be considered. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales performance and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen understanding of inventory control, and the ability to negotiate effectively, with both customers and team members. The ASM will support the the company in achieving sales targets and developing strategies to penetrate the market andmove the needle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily sales operations and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Support the Sales Manager in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Engage in cold calling to generate leads and expand customer base.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and ensure product availability.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and forecast future sales trends.
• Negotiate terms of sale with customers to maximize profitability.
• Conduct outside sales activities to promote products and services.
• Train and mentor junior sales staff on best practices in customer engagement and sales techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive sales management is REQUIRED
• Strong skills in inventory control, market analysis, and retail math.
• Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage YOUR team, while also being self-motivated.
