offered are only for full-time position) Full job description GENERAL FUNCTION: Do you have a passion for connecting with people and driving sales? As an Optical sales specialist, you'll be the face of the store, promoting and selling a diverse portfolio of glasses products and services to both existing and new customers. Your role is to attract and retain customers by delivering exceptional customer experience through outstanding glasses/contact lens fitting satisfaction. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Develop professional business relationships with other associates and Doctors.
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions, and fit and adapt lenses and frames, to include but not limited to the following:
• Utilize optical prescription in conjunction to the patient's visual requirements.
• Recommend specific lenses, and lens coatings to suit patient needs.
• Assist patients in the selection of frames, and coordinate frames to prescription and patient need.
• Perform appropriate optical related measurements.
• Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing, point of sale (POS) entry, and realistic delivery time quotes.
• Provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding vision and medical insurance coverage.
• Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, promotions and visual standards, while minimizing product losses. Ensure a welcoming store atmosphere by delivering a clean retail experience, effective communication, policy adherence, issue resolution and participating in training programs.
• Assist with the timely execution of approved marketing programs and initiatives, and the implementation of appropriate signage and promotions according to the Company's standards.
• Other duties as assigned by Business Manager. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Ability to sell through use of sales skills and accountability for sales results.
• Experience and proven results with a retail or customer service establishment. Basic math skills with proficiency in cash and credit cards handling and accurate payment transactions.
• Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations. High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms and proficiency in computer applications.
• Attention to detail and follow-up.
• Ability to manage priorities through adaptability and flexibility.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Self-motivated, competitive spirit with a desire to exceed sales goals.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks and handle change effectively. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable experience typically achieved with a minimum of 1-2 years in a retail environment. The incumbent or successful candidate must meet the position requirements above in order to perform the essential functions of this position and achieve the outcomes/results indicated in this position description.
