Responsibilities

• Assist in managing overall store operations, including sales, staffing, and customer service excellence
• Lead and motivate retail sales teams to achieve targets through effective training, coaching, and supervision
• Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
• Handle purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to streamline transactions
• Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training to develop a high-performing team
• Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
• Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to enhance store visibility and customer engagement
• Supervise shift management, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain operational efficiency
• Utilize strong communication skills to resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
• Apply organizational skills for inventory control, stock stocking, and store cleanliness standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in retail management with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Proficiency in retail math, sales management, budgeting, merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS systems
• Experience with inventory management software and wireless sales is advantageous
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail industry sales team management preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in cash handling, cashiering, customer service excellence, and operational management is essential
