Full description of the position

Our client, a Houston area company in the commercial construction/installation space is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Specialist to support and grow sales within their industry nationwide. The company produces and installs products mainly used in the hospital/medical space. This Houston-based position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound sales activities, supporting distributors and contractors, preparing quotes, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling construction materials and a strong understanding of the commercial construction sales cycle. Ultimately they have a team of outside sales representatives that close the business, so this Inside Sales Specialist is passing on leads and supporting them nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Manage inbound inquiries and proactively generate new sales opportunities
• Develop and maintain relationships with construction material distributors, subcontractors, and general contractors
• Prepare detailed proposals, estimates, and sales quotations
• Follow up on bids and pricing to close business
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside reps to ensure accurate order processing and delivery
• Maintain accurate records in CRM system
• Support outside sales efforts and national account initiatives as needed

Qualifications

:

• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably selling construction or building materials
• Strong understanding of the commercial construction sales process
• Experience working with distributors and contractors
• Proven ability to prepare and present pricing proposals
• Highly organized with strong multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and team-focused

• Onsite position based in Houston, TX
