Existing relationships in your market are a major plus, whether that comes from distribution sales, brand work, bartending, restaurant management, or simply being plugged into the local hospitality scene. The right person will have the chance to help shape a territory, build meaningful account relationships, and grow with the company as Freebrook expands. The Territories We are hiring Key Account Managers for the following markets:
- San Francisco
- East Bay
- South Bay
- San Diego Each Key Account Manager will own and grow their assigned territory, with a focus on restaurants, bars, hotels, independent retailers, and key accounts. We are especially interested in candidates who already understand the accounts that shape their market the cocktail bars, neighborhood restaurants, chef- driven spots, hotels, bottle shops, independent retailers, and buyers who influence what people drink. The role is expected to be approximately 75% on-premise and 25% off- premise , meaning most of your time will be spent building relationships with restaurants, bars, hotels, and hospitality accounts, while also supporting select retail and independent off-premise opportunities. This is a field-based role. You will be in the market meeting buyers, presenting products, supporting accounts, conducting tastings and trainings, following up on opportunities, and helping supplier partners gain real traction. In plain English: you will help great brands get poured, placed, reordered, and remembered. This is not a take orders and check the box role. We are looking for someone who can create momentum: open new doors, build trust, follow up consistently, and turn good conversations into real sales.
What You'll Do
You will:
- Build and grow relationships with restaurants, bars, retailers, hotels, and hospitality accounts
- Own and develop your local market with clear goals, smart planning, and consistent follow-up
- Leverage existing relationships with friends, former colleagues, and industry contacts who work at great bars, restaurants, hotels, and retail accounts
- Present Freebrook's supplier brands in a smart, engaging, and professional way
- Drive new placements, reorders, account growth, and product visibility
- Conduct product tastings, staff trainings, account visits, and market work
- Support supplier market visits and work-with days
- Identify new account opportunities and build a healthy territory pipeline
- Follow up consistently on orders, samples, placements, meetings, and next steps
- Maintain organized account notes and CRM records
- Share market feedback, competitive insights, and account opportunities
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and territory planning
- Work closely with operations to support smooth order processing and customer satisfaction

- Distributor, supplier, broker, or beverage sales experience
- Bartending, serving, restaurant management, or beverage buying experience
- Wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, or broader beverage industry experience
- Brand advocacy, tastings, events, or market work
- Existing account relationships in one of the listed territories Sales experience is valuable, especially in distribution or supplier-side roles. But we are also open to high-potential hospitality professionals who have the organization, hustle, and relationship skills to grow into the role.
Requirements
- Must live in or near the territory you are applying for
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance required
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Must be able to lift and carry sample bags or product as needed
- Beverage, hospitality, sales, or brand experience strongly preferred

This is a full-time role with a base salary and OTE of $70,000+.
