Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Sales professional to join our team and drive growth through accurate project cost estimation and proactive client engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive bids, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. Your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and sales will be instrumental in delivering successful projects that meet client needs while maintaining profitability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend technical skills with customer-focused sales strategies in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantity takeoffs, and cost control measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, specifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare competitive bids by analyzing project documents, reviewing contracts, and assessing labor, material, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes.
• Negotiate terms and pricing with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable contracts while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of construction site conditions and safety protocols to inform accurate estimations and risk assessments.
• Support project management teams throughout the project lifecycle by providing cost updates, change order evaluations, and ongoing cost control insights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in HeavyBid software; Bluebeam skills are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with construction site experience to accurately assess job conditions impacting estimates.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents effectively.
• Solid understanding of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
