Job Summary

Join Market on the Mountain as a Cashier/Sales Associate/Stocker and be the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience! Duties

• Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with professionalism.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales.
• Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented to attract buyers.
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and reporting low stock levels to ensure product availability.
• Upsell complementary products or promotions to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries, ensuring clear communication and professionalism.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience, especially in grocery stores or similar environments, is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team initiatives when needed.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices.
