Duties

• Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
• Assist customers with product selection, providing detailed information on features and benefits
• Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and financial software, including cash drawer handling and cash management
• Handle retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and returns with precision
• Support retail lending activities by explaining loan options, processing loan applications, and assisting with loan collections when necessary
• Maintain accurate data entry records for sales, customer information, and transaction logs
• Ensure the store remains organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or retail store experience preferred; strong customer service skills are essential
• Basic math proficiency, including 10 key typing skills for efficient transaction processing
• Familiarity with financial software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Knowledge of banking or financial services enhances ability to assist customers with retail lending and loan processing
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently manage a cash drawer
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
