Summary Direct Sales Representatives support the sales team by providing a high level of customer service to accounts and delivering sales calls. Primary

Responsibilities

• Pre-plan sales calls and objectives
• Call on accounts according to established frequency and provide exceptional customer service and follow through while developing rapport with assigned accounts
• Recommend and execute special promotions as needed and/or directed
• Submit all required paperwork such as preplans, ad trackers, surveys, expense reports, and mileage reports by their respective due date
• Attend general sales meetings, supplier meetings and department meetings as directed by Manager Key Competencies
• General knowledge of industry products
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers People Management None

Work Environment

Work indoors in a sedentary office setting; occasional visit to customer accounts. Physical Demands

• Lift/Carry & Push/Pull up to 50 lbs.
• Bend/Stoop/Crouch/Squat
• Use arms/wrists/hands/grasp throughout entire shift

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required Preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-year previous sales experience
• Six months previous merchandising experience

Compensation

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
