Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product recommendations and demos when appropriate
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring cash drawer handling is precise and balanced at shift end
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls to appropriate departments
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure retail store product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance
• Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products and promotions
• Support inventory management by participating in stocking routines and conducting product demos to educate customers about new items Experience
• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments with high customer interaction
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and customer service excellence
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and cash drawer handling
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge enhances your ability to assist customers confidently
• Experience in upselling, merchandising, and providing exceptional customer service ensures a lively shopping atmosphere
