Position Summary

: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Car Buyer / Sales Specialist to join our growing automotive wholesale startup. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for pricing, negotiating, and purchasing used vehicles from a variety of lead sources. This role requires direct knowledge of the automotive industry, experience evaluating the condition of used vehicles, and using that information to generate accurate, competitive offers. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail and desires to work in a fast paced environment. This role will include sales efforts and outreach, including cold calls, to potential clients and automotive partners. The position is full-time and based in person.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vehicle acquisitions, including analyzing industry trends, pricing, and demand for various makes and models.
• Build and maintain relationships with dealerships, auctions, private sellers, and other industry professionals to source a wide range of high quality vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle conditions, perform comprehensive inspections, and conduct accurate appraisals to determine fair market values and potential profitability.
• Negotiate pricing and purchase terms with sellers to secure the best possible deals while maximizing profit margins.
• Coordinate logistics, including vehicle inspections, transportation, and paperwork to ensure smooth transactions and timely delivery.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on vehicle histories, titles, and legal compliance to minimize risks and ensure the authenticity of each purchase.
• Conduct sales efforts by reaching out to potential clients, dealers and various lead sources. This will include cold calls, networking and utilization of lead services.
• Stay up to date with current market trends, industry developments, and changes in consumer preferences to adapt buying strategies and optimize inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and inventory levels using appropriate software or tools.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests from buyers, sellers, and clients.
• Meet or exceed sales targets, volume quotas, and profitability goals established by the company.

Qualifications

:

• Proven experience as a car buyer, automotive salesperson, wholesaler or related roles within the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle makes, models, pricing, and market trends.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and achieve favorable terms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with sellers, buyers, and industry professionals.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using various tools and software for market research, vehicle evaluations, and inventory management. Must have experience using Hubspot or related software.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional results.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
