Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Trade Sales Representative to help grow our business by strengthening relationships with our existing trade clients. This role focuses on proactive, warm outreach to interior designers, architects, builders, developers, and other trade professionals who have previously worked with our company or have expressed interest in our products and services. 

This position will work closely with and report to the National Trade Manager. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and confident on the phone. Their primary responsibility is to reconnect with clients, identify upcoming projects, and generate new sales opportunities through consistent follow-up and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily outbound calls, and follow-ups with existing and inactive trade clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, architects, builders, contractors, and developers.
• Identify upcoming projects and opportunities to generate new business.
• Research and perform cold-calling to new designers that arent part of TW database.
• Schedule appointments, showroom visits, or virtual consultations for the sales team when appropriate.
• Educate clients on new products, promotions, services, and trade program benefits.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales opportunities in the CRM.
• Will play a crucial role of generating quality leads to the NTM.
• Reactivate dormant accounts through strategic outreach campaigns.
• Meet or exceed weekly outreach, appointment-setting, and sales goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales, account management, and customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong phone presence with confidence initiating conversations.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build trust and develop long-term client relationships.
• Experience using CRM software is preferred.
• Experience working with trade professionals or within the design, furniture, construction, or home improvement industry is a plus.

Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by:

• Number of outbound client touch points completed weekly
• Client re-engagement rate
• Appointments or meetings scheduled
• Quotes generated by NTM
• Sales metrics revenue from existing trade accounts 
• This is a salary plus commission-based position.
